"Sol on Fire" darbuka is a custom hand made darbuka made by Arab Instruments artist and belongs to one of the most complicated and rare collection we have ever built. This rare model comes with 8 pegs for (on the picture you 6) perfect and accurate tuning. The combination of fire and the note Sol made this darbuka to be called: Sol on Fire. Working Process Building this darbuka was very complicated and tough task. In order to make it glowing , our artist needed to paint the darbuka with several layers in order to create the fire effect. Our Aluminum darbuka has been covered with two extra glass layers In order to get the effect we wanted to achieve, We needed to wait several days between the layers in a long procedure that took almost a month to finish. In the end we have polished the darbuka from bottom to top and finally got the results we were looked after... The darbuka has an Arabic decorated text at the bottom and inside the ring of the darbuka says "The beat of the drum was first set to the rhythm of our mother’s pulse" This text express our filling regarding the darbuka we live and breath every day. The "Sol on Fire" darbuka has a sharp and strong sound. Darbuka player who will hold it will defiantly be a unique musician. The "Sol on Fire" darbuka comes with: 1) On top of the darbuka transparent skin (Power Beat or Arab Instruments ) and also Extra darbuka skin 2) Arab Instruments 1st class case 3) Fabric cover made for the top of the darbuka 4) Tuning Key
The Sombaty plus darbuka is heavier from the standard sombaty darbuka, It has another layer of aluminum and it produces stronger sound an absolutely amazing "Doom strokes". The tiger doumbek will be great for a big events such as concert s or "Hafla" and it has an impressive look.
