I"m a bit of a darbuka snob. I have many drums and there has to be something exceptional if I'm going to keep a drum in my collection. This drum does not disappoint! It sounds amazing, and has more sustain than most drums. It looks beautiful, and the craftsmanship is suberb. All in all I'm very pleased, and would totally recommend.
I have been playing darbuka for over 12 years and this drum is one of the best I've ever played. I liked it so much I bought a second Baraka drum! I love that it is heavy. It doesn't move on your lap while playing. The artistry is excellent and it is physically beautiful. Refreshingly, it sounds just as good as it looks. With deep clean low bass tones and crisp high teks, this drum is an amazing convergence of beauty and quality. I can't wait to get my second one!
