الناي هو قصبة مائلة مُحدّدة ومجوّفة يتم استخدامها في ألوان الموسيقى الفلكلورية، والكلاسيكيّة، والدينيّة أيضًا. ويُعتَقَدُ أنّ هذه الآلة الموسيقيّة خرجت إلى الوجود من أرض مصر منذ ما يزيد عن 5000 سنة خلت. وكذلك يكشف المُتحف الموجود في القاهرة الستار عن بعض آلات الناي البدائية التي تحمل العديد من الصفات المُشابهة لتلك الآلات الموجودة في مصر حاليًا. ويتمّ عادة صناعة الناي المصري من الخيزران الخالص، وتنتج هذه الآلة الموسيقيّة صوتًا جميلًا ومميّزًا جدًّا، الشيء الذي يعدّ السبب في اكتساب الناي الاحترافي للشعبيّة على مرّ السنين.

The Ney is an oblique rim blown flute that is used in folk, classical as well religious music. This instrument is actually believed to have originated in Egypt more than 5,000 years ago. Also, the Museum in Cairo reveals some primitive neys that are now bearing some resemblance to instruments that are can be found in Egypt. The Egyptian neys are also commonly made from plain cane. This instrument is creating a very unique and beautifully distinctive sound that is why a professional ney has been gaining popularity over the years.
