In majority of cases, fish skin is used but in some rare cases, other natural materials are also used for producing a slightly different sound.

  • Unlike metal-bodied doumbek, the sound produce by Ceramic doumbek is extremely light and pleasing to the ear. Besides this, Ceramic doumbek allows greater control, which helps a player to generate as many types of notes and sounds as he can dare to imagine.
